“Discover Germany” offers itself as a link to Germany for Singapore.
The website “Discover Germany” serves as an internet portal for information on German events and contacts in Singapore and as a platform for new initiatives and future Germany-related projects in Singapore.
The website was launched in 2005 in conjunction with a series of events under the motto “Discover Germany” by the German Embassy in Singapore, in close cooperation with German partner institutions present in the country.
Leading up to the FIFA Soccer World Cup in Germany in June/July 2006, about 50 events offered an opportunity for Singaporeans to “discover Germany” be it through art or music, sports or movies, fashion or food, design or technology – things that Germany is renown for and that Singaporeans appreciate over a period of nine months. The website served as an important instrument to promote these events.
Given the success an important portal for “all things German” in Singapore, the Embassy has decided to continue the website “Discover Germany”.
